I have heard there is more of a low sex drive side affect on that drug but that still didn't bother me, just pure exhaustion has made mine worse. I'm sure zoloft affects everyone differently but I don't have 1 side effect from it except for less anxiety which is why i'm taking it.
Typically the SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), which includes Zoloft, have a pretty mild profile of side effects. The likelihood of weight gain and loss of libido is actually much higher for folks with untreated depression/anxiety. Of course, the important thing is to keep an eye on what works for you (and bug your medical care provider to try a different med or new approach if something isnt working). Good luck!

Was just curious...are any of you currently pregnant on Zoloft? I've been on Zoloft for quite some and was on it through out my last pregnancy but doctor wanting to take me off of it with this pregnancy. I really don't want to go crazy!
I would love to know the answer to this too!!! I will need to be on my medicine and my psychiatrist has given me the okay and so has my ob. Last pregnancy was without and I was incredibly stressed and my anxiety was so high and I could barely get out of bed and then I miscarried. It's been 18 months and I'm ready to try again.

Not currently pregnant but when I was pregnant with DD they put me on it and I was reluctant to get on it but I got so much more anxiety and depression when I was pregnant that I decided to bite the bullet and within a week I noticed a major difference. I was on Ativan before pregnant, I only took it as needed, but probably more than I should have. I was on the lowest dose even and when I stopped taking it I couldn't sleep at night for a week, it was horrible. I keep telling myself I will ween off of zoloft, but I like the way I'm feeling right now. When I'm pregnant again I plan on still taking it. My only concern is I've heard that zofran is not recommending to pregnant women now and I took that for 9 months. I needed that really bad and depended on it.
