DS's preschool class is doing a gift exchange. I need to get a $5 gift for a boy... Need help with the $5 range. Only thing I can't think is some hot wheels.
I think you might have hit the nail though... I might need to just go look through toy section (or books or whatever) I just did most, all actually, of my shopping online this year. Was hoping to not aimlessly wonder through a store. Only because if I go, I know I'll spent $100 when I only went for a dinky $5 item.
A playground ball maybe? Not sure if that's the right price range...
Lol. I just had to google because I wasn't sure what it was. Price seems about right but I wouldn't want to get a ball for outside because it's freaking freezing & he couldn't use it any time soon. Also not sure how happy his parents would be to have him play in the house. ...like we would let DS play in basement but SIL allows NO kicking or ball playing in the house
Do you have a Family Dollar close? I ran in there to get toilet paper yesterday on a whim and they have decent toys for $5. I got my daughter a Doc Mcstuffins music set and a Minnie Mouse 3set puzzle for $5 each. I know they had Jake and other boy stuff too
In their dollar section by the front door, they have a fishing game for bath time, coloring books, crayons... all kinds of goodies. They have $5 DVDs by their toy section. There's also an aisle in their toy section that has some bubbles, balls, etc for just a few bucks. In their seasonal section, you may be able to find like a gingerbread house kit or some other seasonal craft kit too.
Dollar tree is awesome. I got a few of DS's stocking stuffers from in there. And i bought my cousin's DS all of his Christmas in there. They have cars and toy story books and puzzles. DS got a curious George coloring book!
Re: $5 gift for 3 year old boy?
A book? That's the only thing I can think of.
Target has a section in their toy department that is gifts under $5, maybe just peruse that? Sorry, I'm not being helpful at all!

@Chapski I know what you mean! I think I'm worse online though. It's too easy for me to point and click! "Add to cart" overload! :P
