flip extenders? Do they exist?

I've heard that there are extenders you can get for flip trainers.  I have a 3 year old that is about 45lbs and the trainers are quite snug on him making them difficult to get on by himself.  I can't seem to find extenders anywhere to make the trainers slightly larger... Has anyone heard of these or know where I can find them??
