how do I use preseed??

hi all.. help me out with this please because I can't seem to find a straight answer. when using frozen sperm at home, how do I use preseed? other than to help with the speculum, I've read it can help frozen sperm live longer and that it can also help get every last but out if a vial. but how?? when should we suck it up the syringe, etc.? I need details thank you!!!
