Multiples

triplet movement

I will be 15 weeks tomorrow. At this point in my pregnancy with my 13 month old, I did start feeling movement. They said this is comMon since I started small (was a size 0 before her pregnancy and after).do you generally feel multiples movement later Or is this just kind of weird? I would have thought with three in there, and it being a second pregnancy, I would have felt things sooner or at least at the same time.

Re: triplet movement

  • Good morning :)  Honestly, I felt movement earlier and that makes sense to me.  That said though, twin B has moved into a positive that I barely feel them at 20 weeks... while twin A is sitting front and low and literally has me groaning with some of her crazy movements.  I felt these two between 15 to 16 weeks, I think.  I so fail at record keeping!

Btw, I just have to say it again, wow and amazing to carrying triplets!  I love my children, but egads this twin pregnancy has been difficult for me ><

  • I felt movement with my triplets the latest off all 3 pregnancies. I know how you feel. Almost disconcerting. It'll come :-). Congrats !

  • I felt movement with this pg (twins) earlier than with my singleton. 15 weeks versus 19 weeks last time. But it took a long time for me to feel movement regularly, or even daily, because one of the placentas is anterior. I would guess that with three placentas the chances of at least one being anterior would be pretty high!

  • It also depends on where your placentas are. I had two up front one in the back I did not feel movement till 20ish weeks cause of placentas. It was the same with my oldest he also had a up front placenta

  • I started feeling mine at about 20-21 weeks, but they were my first, and I have never been a size 0 in my life. Not even at birth. Ha ha! So I don't know how much that matters.
