Collar Bone Fracture

I just had my third child 7 weeks ago and when I took him to his first Doctors Appointment his collar bone was broken. It has healed very well, but I was wondering if this has happened to any of you? I was induced at 39 weeks and I remember the nurse saying my cervix was thick. Do you think this could have been the reason his collar bone broke? I'm just curious how this could have happened, this broke my heart when I came home from the hospital and took him to the doctor. I just want to let everyone know that is trying to hurry and get there baby here by being induced that it could actually hurt your baby. Take the last couple of weeks to enjoy your alone time and try to get everything done around your house. I know you are probably miserable just like I was but if I could change being induced I would.

I had my third child who is now five years old at 40 weeks, and I was induced. I heard when her collarbone popped as she made her entrance into the world. She was 8lbs 15oz, and I'm not sure if that was a factor or not because my first two were much bigger at birth. My LO did heal quite well as they are so young. She's just as spunky as she can be too. I didn't have that issue with my now 18 day old either. Sorry you had to go through that and glad they healed.
