Lazy ovary? (Probably TMI)

I have my first monitoring appt. yesterday. My right ovary looks good with a number of follicles on it, but my left ovary is kind of dragging behind with fewer and smaller follicles. Has anyone else had this happened? Is it possible that my left ovary will catch up or is it just kind of lazy? I don't know if it matters, but my left ovary is way out in left field - U/S are regularly painful while they jab around looking for it. Could this be causing the difference?

My left was always slower than my right.

Always- but my RE calls them 'quiet' ovaries. It looks like for 4 months it was my right one that was quiet but last year when I cycled we got the most from my right- so go figure..

Last cycle my left ovary was "lazy" and only had two measurable follies at my first monitoring appointment when my right had 8.  I did end up with some more measurable follies at my next monitoring appointment, but they never caught up.

I too have had a "lazy" right ovary. RE said it's totally normal for them to switch off being active.
@poohniki I love the "quiet" ovary thing, calling them lazy seems mean!

Totally normal but uncomfortable. My right ovary likes to hide and they have had to push and dig to find her. Right one has really only participated twice in all of our cycles. For ivf, she only had two follies but I'm betting those were two of the three that weren't mature.

My left ovary was slower than my right one also, mine did catch up and I ended up with more on my left by the end. So I am sure that it will catch up!

My left was slower than my right.... It never grew as many or had follicles as big as the right; all the way up to ER it was that way

My right is the "quiet" one. My March cycle was the only time it was on my right. My last 3 medicated cycles, my left has been the dominant one.

My left is my "lazy" one- we only got 3 eggs from it in both IVF cycles. both time I've been like, wth left side???

I'm another lefty-lazy. Yet, lefty was the one that felt so annoyed before ER. It also seems to me that it was lopsided with Clomid and Letrazole rounds as well.

Thanks, ladies. I guess I will hope that my left ovary catches up but won't count on it. At least the right one is being a good sport. 

@poohniki, "quiet" is such a nice way of describing it. 

I never thought that I would be so interested in what my ovaries are doing and where they are positioned.
