Hey March Mommas,
It's been a bit since I've checked in...
I hope all of you & your LO's are doing well. Just wondered; how many of you have started potty trying or introduced potty yet?

I have already potty trained my dd. We bought her own potty at 12 months, and she started showing interest so I worked with her. She's wearing underwear and hasn't wore a diaper in 2 months. (We originally bought her potty just for her to get used to.)
I've been trying to get him into the competitive spirit, lol. There's a boy 2 months older than my son at daycare that's his best buddy and that boy has started using the potty so I keep saying "Don't you want to go to the potty like Sean? He lovvvves the potty!" So far, all that has resulted in is the daycare ladies telling me that Alexander told everyone "Sean loves potty," every time Shawn goes. So it sounds like Sean is doing great with his potty training and my son is happy to report that for now.
I have not introduced potty yet. I'm thinking of starting next year after all holidays IF i see he is ready for it. He does let me know when he goes #1 and #2 so I see that as a good sign. I'll be honest and confess that I'm not looking forward to this lol. GL!
DD is potty trained. She started telling us she needed to go "pee-pee" (really poo) when she was about 17 months. We didn't really want to potty train her, because we thought it would be such a big hassle but really, it was much easier than I anticipated. We didn't do a three day approach or anything like that, we just took it real slow over the next couple of months. First we just put her on whenever she told us she needed to go, then we started giving her some diaper-free time, and eventually we moved to using training pants & underwear. DD's cousin is 4 months older than her and my mom watches both girls - so I think it really helped us. We still use a diaper at night, but that's pretty much it.
We really aren't anywhere near training yet. We never took the little potty out of the bathroom when my now 4 year old grew out of it and started exclusively using the regular toilet. Once in awhile, little brother will hop out of the bathtub and want to sit on it, but he has never actually done anything while on it. He did do the funniest thing yesterday when I was getting out of the shower, though. He walked over to the toilet, pulled down his pants (diaper still on) and opened up the lid like he was going to stand there and pee like he always sees his big brother doing. I should start sitting him on the potty regularly when he wakes up and before bath like I did with big brother. What really sealed the deal with him, though, was the 3-day approach when he was nearing 3 y.o.
We have a potty in the bathroom and he goes in with me and sits on it, sometimes even "wipes" but he hasn't actually gone on it. He knows when he's pooping but hasn't told me in advance yet, so I don't think he's quite ready.

Hello
No potty here. I am going to wait until after this LO is born (unless DS really begins to show interest).
