I usually make 15+ different kinds of cookies for the cookie plates I give out as presents each year. It takes days of prep and about 3 days of baking. So yeah that is not happening this year! I will be lucky if I make 4 different kinds! (plus 2-3 gingerbread houses!)

I usually make 2 and I make a candy-cane cheesecake every year. This year I'm doing a cookie swap with my best friend, so I'll end up with 4 kinds (2 dozen of each). Seriously that is way enough for just me and DH haha.
I don't usually bake Christmas cookies. My mom traditionally did about a dozen different varieties (and doesn't eat any herself) so there was always more than enough of them to share. For some reason this year (nesting??) I keep thinking I'd like to make some and have been pinning a lot of interesting recipes.
While I love to bake, I don't typically make cookies just for Christmas, although this thread is making want to change that fact. I make cookies all year long. Snicker doodle, chocolate chip, m&m, whatever I'm in the mood for at the moment.
