Seriously just have to vent here-- $75 a month for a prenatal rx vitamin due to this mthfr!! What the crap--- my pockets are shelled out.. it could be way way worse but wow.

omg ridiculous! maybe other pharmacies might have discounts if u shop around? or a manufactures coupon? FX they're worth every penny soon *hugs*

Holy moly!  What the heck are they made of!?!  Can you find any discounts or a cheaper place to get them?  Does your insurance not cover them either?

Mine are 33.00 a month. I a taking the Folgard for the MTHFR also, maybe ask if there are alternative vitamins they can offer?

actually its the "generic" of Prenate Quatrefolic AFTER insurance!! I did call back and since it's a mail order they offered me customer assistance of 10.00 off and a 25.00 rebate so it came down to 40. I am going to call the RE today to see how much they are if they get called into the pharmacy instead of mail order.

Hey, if that's generic for PreNate Elite mini with Quatrefolic find out how much the non-generic is. They have $30 off coupons via their website and you get 12 of them. It might be cheaper in the long run.

ETA: I answered my own question by re-reading your post. I know when I had to get human prescription drugs for my dog, calling around to different pharmacies changed the price dramatically. I'd try Costco- they were always the cheapest around (and I'm pretty sure you don't need to be a member to use their pharmacy).

@poohniki I wonder how much it would be for Prenate through retail pharmacy if they have $30 off in coupons? But thank you for the heads up on Costco, I'll have to check that out.. I usually go to Walmart.. and I have an arm and leg in pet meds too. My fur butt has diabetes & glaucoma. $75 on insulin a month and $55 eye drops. I'm working for medicines.

I have the MTHFR mutation and my doc prescribed NEEVO. I've seen that a lot of other people take NEEVO for that too. I was paying 45/month but now I'm using mail away and it's $90 for 3 months. I also take Metanx (which is a combination of b vitamins) which would be about $30/month but I've gotten samples from my neurologist.
