How much whole milk should my son be having. He is currently taking 5 6oz bottles a day. What is the normal amout of milk he should be having when i take him off of formula??

  • I keep them at the same amount and they naturally drop it down to a few glasses a day. Having more than 16 or 20 oz of milk won't hurt them. Right now my son does 4 6 oz bottles. We'll keep it at that until her drops one on his own.

  • Our ped says they suggest 16-24 oz per day. We usually end up around 22. We start with 6.5 in the morning when he wakes, then 4 oz with a snack around 11, 4 oz with a snack around 4, then 7.5 oz before bed.
