AW: Potty Success (PIP)

I'm kidding about the PIP, but not the potty success.  Had you a little nervous didn't I?  ;)

We've been getting B acclimated to his potty over the last few weeks and yesterday, it paid off.  We were playing in the living room and his face turned a little pink.  He said "Boo boo," and I about busted my butt to get him to his potty.  He sat down and said "ball," so I thought he just wanted to play ball like we do in there a lot.  When he stood up, he had gone #1 and #2!  I danced and clapped like a maniac then MH joined me.  He told me boo boo again this morning on the way to school and when we got there, he had a dirty diaper.  We still have a way to go in potty training, but are on the right track, it seems.

  • Awesome!! We're not that close to potty time here. He'll tell me "poo poo" when he's in the middle of pooping, but that's it. I have no idea how to teach him to be aware of peeing too!

Oh, I have potty pics, but they're mostly of him playing with his junk because he just.can't.stop.  Blackmail!

  • Woo!! That's awesome!!! I thought we were so far from potty training but a few nights ago Ava suddenly said "poop" to my H so we whisked her into the bathroom and put her on the toilet. I ran downstairs and got the potty I bought her for Christmas and ran it back upstairs. It came with a little seat that fits on the big toilet so we used that and sat her on top. She had already peed in the toilet by the time I got upstairs but after a few minutes, she pooped too! My H and I clapped and cheered and Ava joined in too. We've tried sitting her on the potty a few times each day since but no luck. Still though, I feel like we are closer than we originally thought :)

I was thinking of getting J a potty for Christmas... a super exciting present, I know!  But I feel like we are getting close to being ready, because she always has a tell and when she's done she looks at us and pulls at her diaper.

I've started looking but I can't decide what to get....

We got a 3-in-1.  It's the full toddler size potty, then you can take the seat off when they move to the big one and the potty base turns into the step stool.  He's already stepping up on it to brush his teeth.ha
