When to worry about drool

I'm starting to get concerned with the amount of drooling that DD still does. She will be 3 in March and still drools enough to dampen her shirt on a regular basis. Is this something to be concerned about and what could be the issues causing it? She has all her teeth and she has no issues with eating, drinking, or talking.

Re: When to worry about drool

  • Some of my friends kids do this.  I'd ask the pedi.  I find it odd when I see a kid bigger than my son drooling lol

  • Do you notice that her mouth is open a lot without her realizing it?  My DD has some oral sensory issues so we've dealt this.  She will keep her mouth open while reading or doing a puzzle or playing and will drool and not even realize it.  If I remind her to pop her lips and close her mouth she will and the drooling improves.  Otherwise I'd check with your pedi.  Better safe than sorry!
