  • Good luck to those with betas this week! Huge hugs to those who need them.

    Best wishes for tomorrow 2Mamaz!!

I've been doing great and feeling positive since ET (D-EM) last week. I've considered POAS soon, but know that it would be torture either way since I have to wait till the 11th for beta.

QOTW: Thanksgiving was low-key and just what I needed since I was on "bed-rest". We went to lunch at a hotel with DH's family and were not impressed. They've had good experiences in the past with hotel Thanksgiving meals, but this one disappointed. At least we had yummy desserts at the house waiting on us!

  • FX for all those who need it! Good luck tomorrow 2Mamaz!

How is it going? It's going ok.
What are your next steps? Start monitoring with AF in 2 weeks.
How are you feeling? Blah- Still having rough days from the last cycle. I'm trying to accept donor eggs and the possibility that the only way we will be successful is donor egg/ donor sperm combo. It's just a little difficult to absorb all that. I'd prefer at least one of us to be genetically involved so I'm exploring a few different options to improve those chances and still going to counseling to help with the acceptance. I think I just need to make sure I've tried everything else first.
Please specify the type of TPR you are doing: DS IUI

QOTW: How was your Thanksgiving? A little sad. We weren't invited anywhere and it would have been nice to not cook since DH and I work and go to school so we are always so busy. My sister's plans got cancelled so she came over and we did cooking and shopping. At least it was a reason to clean the house.

  • How is it going? What are your next steps? How are you feeling?

We got cancelled on the weekend - so it's not too great, though I know that cancelling the cycle was definitely the right decision.    I'm just sort of sad these days about things, and a bit fragile.     Next steps:  I'm on Provera right now to bring a period, and H. is waiting to ovulate naturally and start a bleed.   I think the plan is BCP again for a bit, and then H will do a Lupron overlap for a week before we start stims at a much higher dose.   We think the ER/ET will be in January.

Please specify the type of TPR you are doing.   We're doing Partner IVF.

QOTW: How was your Thanksgiving?  We're in Canada so our thanksgiving was last month...   that said - our weekend was both lovely in some ways (lots of good time spent with our friends and former neighbours -- and terrible in others:  our cycle was cancelled and our dog got into a fight with another dog that turned out to be an expensive vet bill that we paid for from our IVF/Parental Leave savings.   Boo!

  • Wow we've had some really exciting news around here! Congrats to the BFPs and PUPOs and big hugs to anyone who needs one.

How is it going? I'm doing great! Got my beta today and I'm feeling really good about it. Next beta is Thursday. Symptoms seem to come and go but I'm happy for each and every one!

Please specify the type of TPR you are doing: D-EM

If you are pregnant, what is your EDD? Gender? I can't believe I get to say yes to this, but I'm KTFU! EDD 8/6/14

QOTW: How was your Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving was good, but also a little annoying. We hosted and I put on this big ol' shebang of a feast. DH decided to tell his mom about our positive HPT and she was not even a little excited about it. Kind of had a "that's nice" response to it. Then she spent the entire (and I'm not exaggerating) dinner talking about herself and sob story after sob story of her life Everyone at dinner commented on it later, and DH wanted to strangle her. I'm a little worried about a repeat at Christmas. She's been really miserable to be around! :( I hope everyone had a better Thanksgiving and enjoys the Holiday season.

  • Well the board has been abuzz lately, and I'd like to add to the good news side.  (I am an egg donor.) The clinic told me that they don't say "pregnant" until six weeks, and my IPs are having the pregnancy ultrasound tomorrow--reading between the lines, they don't say that without a BFP! FX they have a good scan!

Also, they told me they missed a few eggs in the initial count, and that they actually got 52.  They wouldn't tell me how many were mature or how many fertilized, but did say that usually 80% of eggs are mature, and 80% of those fertilize, which means they should have gotten about 33 embies.  Holy moly!  They are offering a cryo/bank retrieval next time so that "my gift can go further."  I asked whether I might be able to have blood draws closer to home.  I have a while to think about it, thanks to holiday lab closures.  Weee!  Now to write that note...
I love the idea of you doing a frozen cycle - no one needs 33 embies, and I think for a lot of people that would be a lot of stress! Though, usually there is 50% or more attrition from fertilization to actual transferable blast - so I'm guessing they got around 15 - which is still a massive amount! I hope you can cycle again, but the family you helped has got to be over the moon crazy about you right now!!! Congrats!

How is it going? What are your next steps? I have an apt.with the donor coordinator this Friday to discuss my plan of care. We will officially have a plan. That will be nice!

How are you feeling? I'm trying to get excited, but in reality I am very anxious and a bit pessimistic. I am freaked out that D-EG will not be our answer to a take home baby. A few months ago we learned DH has a balanced translocation. It is unknown how many embryos will be chromosomally normal or abnormal. I hate the unknown. The positive news is our donor is proven and she is an amazing responder so I am confident we will have a lot of embryos to do pdg on and I pray we will end up with a few that are chromosomally normal.

QOTW: I was scheduled to work, but wasn't needed, so it was really good. DH invited his side of the family. I made the turkey, everyone else brought some food. It was very nice!

I love seeing everyone's progress!  Huge congratulations to so many of you!  Also, hugs to those who are still waiting.  Think about you all a lot!

Update with new terminology: We have a girl (2 years) and a boy (2 months), both from a D-EG+DS cycle (one fresh transfer, one frozen transfer - both eSETs).

QOTW: Our Thanksgiving was relaxing and quiet. We had a really nice Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant with my sister and her family. I had to work on Friday since I don't have much time off from work since I just got back from maternity leave.

  • How is it going?
Everything is actually going really well so far! We're 15w2d, and our GS just had an appointment yesterday that I was able to FaceTime into. She'll come to visit in two weeks, and we'll do an elective ultrasound to get some good pictures!

Please specify the type of TPR you are doing:
    IP - GC

If you are pregnant, what is your EDD? Gender?
    EDD is May 24, 2014. It's a boy!

    QOTW: How was your Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving was great. We got to visit family in San Diego and spent most of the holiday on the beach. The weather was perfect. Now that we're home it's 27 and snowing out!

Congrats to you gals that just got great betas!!

  • Hi everyone!

Very excited for the good news on here lately. Hugs to those who need them and are still going through the struggle!

I am 39 weeks, 2 days today. Just had my weekly OB appt yesterday and still no change from 37 weeks when I was a fingertip dilated and 75 percent effaced. So frustrated! I know these measurements don't really mean anything but I've hardly had any cramping and now have an induction date scheduled for Dec 18. Baby's head is very low but it's been that way for the past 2 weeks. I really don't want to be induced! Trying to stay positive that baby boy will come on his own.

Q: Thanksgiving was fantastic. It was so nice to have something to feel extra thankful for this year since around Thanksgiving last year is when we learned of our failed IVF cycle. Our house is all decorated, gifts purchased and ready for Christmas! More so than that, ready for baby :) Have a great rest of the week, everyone!

    SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm

  • ::::Waves::: Hello! Sorry it took sometime to check in. This has been a rough week. I had an ultrasound the day before Thanksgiving and we confirmed that there was no heartbeat, and also found out that booth of our blast had implanted. So it was hard news to handle but yet had closure.

We are still on the fence about when to try again. I know I am going to take this time to get back into my running and just enjoy my DH until we have our next plan.

    April 2013 DE IVF= BFN

September 2013 DE IVF (Fingers Crossed) = BFFFN! again...

October 2013 FET of our last 2 = Beta Hellzz for 6-7 Weeks. M/C

    Hey lady,

I can't tell you enough how much I hate that you are going through all of this.

I hope the running helps clear your mind and heal your soul a bit.
I hope you are able to enjoy some time with your hubby.

QOTW: How was your Thanksgiving?  My thanksgiving was great!  My DH & LO went to my aunt's house on Wednesday and spent time with my mom's side of our family.  We stayed overnight and played games and ate lots of food.  DH had to work Thurs evening so he headed home, but LO and I stayed over again and rode back with my parents Friday.  It was really nice to be able to spend some extra time with my family, especially my grandparents.  :)
