Chills and sweating?

I had my D&C Wednesday. My OB proactively put me on an antibiotic. The past two days I have been having chills and shivering and then sometimes sweating and hot flashes. I haven't had a fever, but I also have been taking ibuprofen around the clock for pain. Anyway, I assume this might just be hormones. Anyone else have these symptoms?

To be on the safe side I'd go back to your OB. You could have an infection. Sometimes they can leave reminents after D&C. It prob is hormones though. Hope all turns out well

I would call doctor just incase of infection, however I think it's probably hormones. I was told when miscarrying you tend to shiver and be cool afterwards just luck when you give birth. Good luck

I'm sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to me a few days after my D&C. I thought I had an infection and went to the doctor, but it turned out it was just like the hot flashes you get during menopause. Lots of hormones leaving your system can play havoc with your internal temps. Check with your doctor just to be safe, but if you don't have other signs like a terrible smell from your discharge (sorry if TMI), soreness or tenderness around your uterus or a fever of 102 or higher, it's probably just leftover hormones. Also, if it is an infection, ibuprofen wouldn't be able to hide the fever. They tend to get too high to be masked by any meds if an infection is present. Feel better!

Thanks ladies. My OB is having me come in tomorrow morning just to be safe.
