XP: Where will/did you register?

Target? Babies R Us? I'm on the West coast. Anybody considering using Amazon.com? Is anybody doing something like wishlist.com? Pros and cons to these spots?

We are for sure registering at Target and BRU. I'm still on the fence about Amazon.

BBB, Amazon, and PBK. Surprisingly, it looks like people are buying from my Amazon registry first, even though it's got the least items on it.

I did bru. I wish I would have done bru & target. Not many people like bru, and would rather do target, but hey it resulted in lots of gift cards. Good luck.

When I had DD I just did amazon. It was more of a shopping list for me. I found amazon had the best prices.

When we registered for DD, we did BRU and a smaller shop that's local (but has since closed down). We looked at Target, but they didn't have a lot of the things that we were planning on purchasing, so we went with BRU even though they are less accessible than Target. If I registered today (which we won't), but hypothetically, I'd do Amazon for sure.

We did BRU, PBK, and a small local store that is owned by a friend. I have a personal list on Amazon for things that I didn't want to register for but wanted to keep track of for myself (nursing bras, cloth diapers, etc.). We considered BBB, but the only store in our area is in a very inconvenient location, and I read that the BRU website is much better than theirs.

Something to keep in mind about Target is that their inventory changes over VERY frequently. So if you register for cute stuff there early in your pregnancy, there is a good chance that those things will be out of stock by the time your shower comes along. If you plan to register there later on in your pregnancy, then you should be better off.

I did target and BRU. I had a friend who did wish list and I found it very obnoxious to shop from. I almost didn't get her anything bc I was so annoyed with the site!

My friend went with amazon and loved how she got presents at her door as people bought things throughout her pregnancy.
I'll be looking into this further because if it works it could save my Canadian family on shipping to the US. Anyone deal with cross border registries before?

Amazon as our primary list- DH's family already buys off Amazon wish lists for Christmas so it's super easy to just direct them to the registry there.

Plus we'll do a smaller registry at BRU and maybe Target for the people who prefer to shop in person. Sounds like overkill to do three- but a bunch of my family won't buy online and have limited access to BRU or Target (deep country- nearest town is an hour drive and it only has one or the other- that sort of thing.) so whatever works.

I'm also doing Amazon. Prices seemed better than anywhere else. You can add links to any item from any store. I have gift card to a local photographer, bows from a local boutique and a few items that are at BBB and BRU on there.  They show up on the Amazon registry as "universal registry items" and direct you to the other site to purchase.

We'll also register at Target, but do it within a month of my showers so hopefully things will be available.

Same here....I like the selection at BBB a little better but we have out of state relatives and I don't know what they have by them if they want to shop in the store.

Bbb I like the selection, it's close by, good return policy and can use coupons as long as not expired. You can use bed bath bynd coupons too but they can't be expired.

I am doing BRU and Amazon. BRU is the best place here for in store shopping (no BBB close by) and Amazon is great for online. With Amazon you can also add things from any site with their wish list button, so that will be great for some things like the bedding that I have my eye on that's from yet another site.

Buy Buy Baby will be #1 since gift-givers can use the 20% off coupons.  I might also try something online, but I'm on the fence.  I do have a myregistry.com account that I've been using more to just save ideas that I've come across, but I don't think these types of sites are all that popular yet so I'm not sure how well it will work, especially for the "older" shower guests who are more traditional.  I might also do BRU, but I'm not crazy about it, it would just be for variety/choice of stores for shower guests.

I think we're going to do Bed Bath & Beyond and either Target or BRU (I hate BRU, though, so I'll only register for big things there, none of the little stuff).  Amazon is a great idea - I hadn't really given it much thought, but all of my family are out of state, so they'll probably give me a Skype baby shower and ship everything to us - Amazon would make this even easier!

A trick I just did recently when I shipped to Canada was go to the AMAZON CANADA site and order using my regular US login. Not sure if it would work the opposite way if in CANADA order from AMAZON US but it is worth the shot. When I tried shipping straight from AMAZON US to Canada the international shipping was outrageous. HTH.

I registered at BBB and Target. Our local BRU is a wreck when it comes to customer service.
