What Are your solutions, I have tried Zantac, prolosec, gavascon, tums... I think something else but pretty much everything on my list that is 'safe' and my heart burn and indigestion laughs at them, doesn't help the littlest bit and quite frankly it's making me a real charm to be around! Lol I'll admit I am craaaabbbbbby!
Maybe some of the homeopathic / natural stuff?! I always feel like it either works WAY better than chemical medicine or absolutely not at all...ha! No in-between! I've been using papaya tablets and drinking warm milk with honey. I've had some killer heartburn, pretty much right from the start, and both (especially the milk) have really helped.
Try to change ur diet to I take Zantac now cause tums wasn't doing for it me. Try to cut back on acid foods. An u be surprised which are actually acidic an are not!
I live by Mylanta. I keep it in the fridge so it goes down nice and cold. Milk helps in an emergency but then it just turns to acid itself. I've been dealing with this since my teen years so if you find something that makes you comfortable that's what you go with.
Have you talked to your doctor? Mine just started me on Prilosec because I was needing Zantac and tums on a daily basis and said to watch for it getting more severe as it may be a warning sign for pre-eclampsia
Definitely time to talk to your doc. I did and she called in a script I just have to pick it up. I get woken up several times a night with shooting heartburn pain.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
The thing with Zantac is that it has to be maintained in your system. You can't just take it when you have heartburn you have to take it regularly. I take Zantac 150 twice a day and still use Tums occasionally. I also find that apples and gum help. But yeah it is a bugger!
Thanks for posting this because I have been having the same issue alllllllll week! Everything is just burning! I haven't tried anything yet but will talk to my doctor!
