Niall

Thoughts on the name Niall (pronounced "nye - al"). 

DS1 is Cian, would the "ia" combination in the name be too similar or am I over thinking this?

I think it's fine. I've liked Niall ever since reading the book Son of the Morning.

Oh I love Niall, but couldn't get my husband on board. I think Niall and Cian are a lovely subset, but I am partial to Irish names.

Hmmm that's interesting cos in Ireland we pronounce it Nye-al.

I think it's cuz it's been Anglisized a few times. Like many of the Gaelic names out there. Either way, I like this name.

I like it too, although be warned it's the name of one of the guys from One Direction...I've heard a lot of teenage girls swooning about how much they love the name. I've always heard it pronounced Ny-all, and knew a few when I lived in Ireland.

Yes, I have considered this. He is the first thing that pops up when you google Niall. Hopefully I have a few years before the teenage girls start using the name and make it super common
