XP: They are here!

This morning I came to the hospital to be induced. They broke my water and started pitocin at about 8:30. Baby "b" was head down until they broke my water and then decided to flip back to a breech position. By 12:30 I was filly dilated and ready to go! My ob got here pretty quick and I pushed for probably 15-20 minutes total. Baby A, Giovanni Tristan, came out sunny side up weighing 5 lbs 5 oz and 18.5 inches long. They were going to try to flip baby b, but when they broke his water his heart rate dropped and his feet were already about to pop out. So with one push, my ob pulled him right out of there feet first! We named him Luca Frederick and he is 4 lbs 6 oz (he is bigger than expected! Yay!) And 16.5 inches long. So far, nobody has needed any nicu time. They did have to take them to the regular nursery to help maintain their body temps and get their glucose under control. They have both latched on and tried to nurse, but for now they have to be fed formula to help with their blood sugars. If everything continues to go well, we may all be going home Friday!
