We're doing a little happy dance in my house. DS just turned two, so our daycare bill for this week was "only" $198. We had been paying $242/wk since he started at 3 months old.
Neither DH or I can imagine starting that expense over again with another LO. At least with one, we can manage the expense and always see the light at the end of the tunnel. Having an extra $160 a month will nice!
What are your childcare arrangements and expenses?
Re: Daycare just got cheaper!
When DS started full time at school in Grade 1 it was like having a mortgage paid off! Huge savings as after school care is only $60/week versus the $200/week for day care. Also he goes to a karate program so we don't have to pay for lessons separately. Great Childcare option.
I also can' t imagine going back to that cost with a second LO.
We worry about his socialization, however. There aren't playgroup options or things like Gymboree out here.
Love this. When DD moved to the two year old room, we went down to $295 (from $325 in the toddler room). Seriously a huge bump to our budget.
An extra $1,560 in my pocket this year? Yes, please.

Price won't go down until he moves to the next room, which is a good 12-18 months away. He JUST moved into this room last week.
