The pain is excruciating! My doctor said if the pain isn't managed by Tylenol with codeine, I may need to be hospitalized to get stronger meds. Baby is fine though!
I have one. Apparently it's the size of the baby's head. My uterus is a bit tender in that spot, but it's not causing me any pain. I just hope mine stays where it is so I don't need a c-section. I hope your pain becomes manageable without hospitalization!
I have at least two...one on either side of my cervix so I got an extra ultrasound after my A/S to see if they are shrinking. They aren't causing any pain or problems for baby but they can't get any bigger (and preferably we'd like them to shrink) so they don't interfere with my plans for a natural birth. At 20 weeks both were 5cm, now one has gone down to 3 cm, keep shrinking fibroids!
i have at least 3 and they actually got larger! hopefully they won't cause me to need a c-section. they also haven't been bothering me as of lately and I'm hoping it will stay that way because the pain is awful!
I have 9 of them and they've been a BLAST (insert sarcasm). I've been hospitalized a few times to get stronger meds for the pain but have also been prescribed indomethacin tablets (they're a steroid that can only be taken for a max of 48-72 straight) a few times for use at home. Try asking your doctor about that; I had to ask after about 3 hospital visits before they would prescribe me indomethacin.
