Finding a babysitter

Hi, everyone. My husband and I would love to start going on date nights in January when our baby is 4 months old. My in-laws live far away (but they haven't had experience with a baby since my husband was one anyway!) and my mom lives somewhat close by but she has arthritis in her hands and won't be able to take care of him right now since he's still pretty squirmy and needs to be carried (but she'll be great once he's sturdier and crawling/walking). So we'll need to hire someone. Can anyone recommend a babysitter website? Or, if you live in the Orange County, CA area, refer a local service or babysitter? Thank you!

If you have any mommy-friends maybe you can swap baby duties for an evening instead of paying a sitter? I'm in Redondo Beach and our church has a mom-share group that is a great resource!

You might call a local high school and ask the secretary for students he/she might recommend.
