Anyone here have Lap Band surgery?

I'm considering having Lap Band surgery. I've read that surgeons don't recommend pregnancy for 18-24 months following surgery. I am 36, almost 37 and have not had a child. I'm just wanting to connect with anyone who may have some advice or been through the experience of lap band and having children. Thanks!
