First OB appt at 10w2d

First appointment went well.  Kind of boring stuff.  Since I just saw the RE last Tuesday they didnt bother with U/S or doppler (:()  Instead I got the full on annual work up.  Everything appears to be good so far...

But I have history of recurrent preterm labor, eclampsia, and gestational diabetes....and now that I'm over 35....I get to be treated extra special.  I was hoping to schedule an NT scan to get to see baby again sooner, but we've been bi-passed for NT and get to do the Harmony 21 instead.  Disappointed I wont see baby, but will get a nice Christmas present - the sex of the baby  
Also, because I'm 35, with recurrent preterm labor, I get to start hydroxprogesterone IM injections beginning at week 16...Joy.   I'm glad they are being proactive...but I didnt do well with PIO.  I guess its good I get a 6 week break before the next round of injections starts.
Then, because of the IVF weight gain (about 30 pounds) and already having put on 8 since CD1 of this cycle, I get to do the early 1 hour glucose now at 11 weeks and repeat again in a few weeks. 

All the little appointments here and there are actually good though, it will break up the time between now and Christmas Eve when we go back in for the next appt and to learn the babies sex.

Congrats on a good appt. I know all that stuff sucks, but it will be well worth it, especially if you can prevent the eclampsia and ptl.

*****JEALOUS****  i turn 18 weeks the day after christmas so i'm a little disappointed to not find out the gender before so we could have done a cute present for the grandparents lol
