DS loved his rice, oatmeal and barley cereal the first time he ate it. Now...not so much! How can he go from loving it the first time, to not wanting any at all? Our Dr. said it was important for him to eat it because of the iron it provides. Any tips for getting this child to eat his breakfast?
Re: Cereal
Are you giving him a combo of the 3 or seperately? Perhaps he doesnt like one kind but would prefer another?
Also try mixing it with fruit, maybe he'll take it that way. GL!
If you just started solids, don't worry. You don't want to force it on him, and at this age, it's mostly for practice anyway. Yes, iron is important, but if you're BFing, my pedi said it isn't as big a concern. There is very little iron in BM, but it is very readily absorbed.
I've found with DD that she will be more into eating whatever solid if I give her a spoon loaded with it for her to play with and put into her mouth on her own. Maybe your DS just wants to try to feed himself?
Try not to worry and just try again tomorrow!
My DD doesn't care for cereal so I have always mixed it with a thinner fruit. ie. pears, apple sauce etc.

like PP said, mix it with fruit.
If you are offering high iron fruits/veggies it's not such a big deal (unless of course there is a concern with anemia)
