Beta #1 (Upated w/ #2!)

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. It's ridiculously cold here (NJ), so I'm very glad I opted not to go to the Giants game with MH today.

I got my 1st beta results and.......it is 197! I don't really know what that means (no clue what the norm is), but the nurse seemed happy with it, so I am too! I go for more blood work on Tuesday to make sure my beta is doubling. If you ladies don't mind, I'd like to hang out here for another week or 2. While I feel good about today's results, I'm still so nervous.

I'm feeling pretty ok. I was sore for a while, but we did retrieval and then transfer 3 days later, so I expected to be sore. Today I'm feeling pretty good, I still get some sharp pinching in my ovaries for time to time. 

How about you? Any symptoms?! :P

@freakyfast - yes, my second beta is tomorrow. God willing it doubles appropriately. Then I think they make me wait another 9 agonizing days for my first u/s. All of this waiting sucks! Where are you with your cycle? Am I remembering correctly that your FET isn't too far off?

@MrsCastillo - The first 3 days after my transfer I was exhausted...like pregnant exhausted and then it went away. I have a little acid reflux from time to time and my boobs feel a little sore, but that's it. I think I'd be considered somewhere around 4 to 4 1/2 weeks, so I guess it's still early. Are you going beta or bust or will test early?

ally510 yeah kinda close. I am waiting for AF to show again, and then that is when I will be considered FET day 1, but they will also order meds and stuff then, actual transfer won't be until January.  So close, yet so far away.  

Mrs Castillo are you beta or bust?

@KC1212 - I think it depends on whether a person had a 3 day or 5 day transfer. When you have a 5 day transfer, the embryo has reached the blastocyst phase, so it will implant sooner that a 3 day transfer. Lurking on the IF board, I've seen girls get a BFP 5dp5dt, but I'm not sure if that's common or not. I held out for 6 days and got my BFP. I found this:

And while it doesn't say when you can test, it helps explain what's going on post both 3 and 5 day transfers.

Sorry to keep you waiting ladies! I've been busily baking brownies for my students tomorrow.

Beta number 2 is.....497!!! The nurse said my numbers are "appropriately doubling." However, my progesterone level dropped a bit; not so much that it's an issue, but enough that I have to up my PIO shots. Noooo!!!! They are really not so bad going in, but they make muscles super sore the next day. I go back on Tuesday for another beta and an ultrasound. They do not expect to hear a heartbeat yet, but will be looking for the yolk sack...
