Does anyone know if there is a way to make it so that other people can't tag people in your pictures?  Anytime I add a photo to fb of LO, MIL decides to tag all of her friends in it. Because of crazy family members (both on DH's side and my side), and DH's ex wife, I keep my fb as private as I can get it, so only friends can see my stuff.  When she tags people, that makes it so all of the friends of the random people that she tagged can see it too, and it makes me nervous that a bunch of people I don't know looking at pictures I add to fb.  I've asked her not to do it, but she continues to do so.  I just keep untagging the people she tags, but I'm just wondering if there is a way to make it so that there isn't a way she can tag photos at all. Change your *tagging* settings. I have to be asked before anyone can tag themselves in my photos.

It doesn't say anything. Often times people think they've successfully tagged themselves but if they're smart they would go back into their page to check-where they would see the picture isn't on their page.

They have to wait on approval from you. Same goes with posting to my wall. I have to approve first. I have some real *crazies* on FB.

Yup, like Cali said, just go to your settings then "time line and tagging". The option is in there.
That would annoy me to no end.

Thank you ladies. I went through that settings page and couldn't figure it out for whatever reason. 
@Zever000 you have no idea.  I don't get why she doesn't understand why it bothers me.

Yea...this is my qquestions. ILs share my pictures and it pisses me off. They have zero privacy settings on their page and more friends-that I don't know- than me.

Haha! Thank you for posting this! And thank you all for the ways to change it! My SIL tags herself in every photo of lo and it annoys the shit out of me.....now when she tries to tag herself, it won't let her and I won't be approving it!  Muhahahaha )

@msspeedymarie are you sure about that? Everything I post is friends only and my aunt shares pictures I post of LO all the time and people that I'm not friends with like it...

It kind of defeats the purpose of sharing the picture if people you are friends with have already seen it.

I understand how you feel! My SIL decided to have a "photo-shoot" with LO and take and post 22 pictures of him to Facebook. I quickly put that to an end! DH and I have a private family group with his family, so we'll post picturs of LO in there. SIL also decided to take picturs from the family group and post them on her page for everyone to see. I'm sorry if I wanted those for everyone to see, I would have done so..

You can always select a small group of friends (excluding mil) that are only shown your photos. Or just don't post at all.

As long as your pictures are set to friends only, it doesn't matter if someone else shares them - the only people who would see that she shared it are people who are friends with both of you. Now if your pictures are set to public or friends of friends, then it's a free for all.

ETA if you want to let a certain person share your pictures, FB now has an option for shared albums. You can set up an album and make another person (like your H) a "contributor" - this then gives the contributor all the same rights to the pictures that the original poster had, so they can share them without having to be tagged in them or anything.

I'm gonna disagree. My MIL constantly shares pictures I/MH post and I always see her friends, people I've never met, commenting on it.
