Pregnant after a Loss

Old PGaLer back with a question - cervical polyp?

Sorry for the random pop back in, especially since its been over 2 years since my last post, but I could really use some guidance. I'm currently 16 weeks, and on Tuesday woke up to bleeding. Went in immediately and the doc saw a cervical polyp which she thinks is the source. US confirmed LO is ok, and I've been checking the hb with my Doppler twice a day... Good old PGAL brain. Friday overnight, had some more bleeding. WTH! Anyone have experience with cervical polyps? Any advice? I'm also on Lovenox due to Factor V (suspected cause of loss at 28 wks), so she said my bleeding may be more due to that. TIA!!

  • Randomness, but I see that they've removed my badge and post count. I guess that's what happens when you go MIA.

  • Congrats on this pregnancy.  I had a cervical polyp, however, it was addressed prior to being pregnant.  I never had any issues with it, but as with everything during pregnancy, I am sure it is also highly vascular.  I don't have any advise as to dealing with one during pregnancy, sorry.

As for the post counts and badges, everything is different with the new format.  It has taken most people a while to get used to it.

  • I have a cervical polyp that they found during my pap around 9 weeks. It hasn't given me any trouble though and I didn't even know it was there. (((Hugs))) sorry you are dealing with this.
  • I don't have any advice but also want to wish you the best with it.  I'm sorry and hope that the bleeding stops very soon!

  • I had a polyp that caused some bleeding early in my pregnancy. It was absolutely terrifying!! When my OB saw it, she was kind enough to warn me that it would probably burst at some point, causing more bleeding, and that I shouldn't be alarmed. I was glad she said that, because that's exactly what happened! It's definitely possible that yours has burst, and now you're seeing bleeding from that.
