Does anyone have any stories of getting pregnant while breastfeeding?

Our son is 4 months old, and we are already talking about TTC again. We want to have our children close together. However I have a few things working against me, so I foresee it taking some time so we want to start early. We got pregnant on Clomid (first round), so I am hoping we don't need help again--but in the case we might, we wanted to start now to see if anything happens on our own. I know BF is pretty good BC for the first 6 months, has anyone conceived before the 6 months? Or at all--and if so when?

I was just hoping to find some success stories to keep my spirits up. If we don't have any luck by April, we are going to seek fertility medicine again. (Our son was born in July-and we got the OK at 2 weeks(I had a C-section and he said it was fine if I felt comfortable with it). We have not been trying to prevent anything since then...Thanks

Have you gotten your period back again? My cousin got her period back after three months (while BF exclusively) and got pregnant at six months. In their case it was not planned, but she managed to continue breastfeeding her baby throughout the entire pregnancy. Now she's full term and they're excited to welcome their fourth girl any day now. It can happen!!  :x

Most doctors will recommend 18 months between births, especially with a c section to make sure everything heals properly. I personally would wait another few months before even trying and then get a bbt for charting.
