S/O names

I'm bored. Em just went down for a nap, so I thought I'd entertain myself and you with the name saga (oh yes, it continues).

DH has lost his mind. We narrow things down, then he comes up with something completely different. I'm pretty much at the point where I'm ready to say whatever, just to have a decision made.

So you know the middle names (Matrim: pronounced mat-trim, or Reuel: pronounced roo-el). I thought we'd completely settled on the first name of Nicholas.

DH told me the other day that he'd like to either use Nicholas Reuel or Gabriel Matrim. What?

I like Gabriel. I even like it as much as Nicholas. But for the love of Pete, why do we keep going backwards in this process????


So. Any new opinions from my J12 ladies? Would you choose Nicholas Reuel or Gabriel Matrim? Assuming you don't just kill your husband and be done with it.

I can't wrap my head around the middle name of Matrim. So I guess I would go with Nicholas.

I think Gabriel Matrim flows better (long a sound), but both are nice. Nicolas Matrim also sounds good, but I'd stay away from Gabriel Reuel.

I tried looking Matrim up and can't even find it except in reference to the book. So it's a little hard for me to wrap my head around too.

I have a bad personal association with the name Nicholas (ex boyfriend) so I would never use it but its a nice classic name and I think it flows better with Reuel that Gabriel does.

Yes! Give the girl a prize! Not a lot of people (in our circle anyway) will get the reference.
