Diaper pails

We have a 2 y.o. still in diapers and another on the way.  We currently have a diaper genie and it is very smelly.  We change it often but doesn't really help.  Any suggestions on a good all-around diaper pail? preferably one with no special bags to buy.  TIA!

We have the diaper genie and never had ny issue with bad smell but that's maily because we stopped putting the poopy diapers in there when she started on solids for good. I keep a basket of shopping bags at the changing station and bag the bombs and put them outside on the deck right away. Then at the end of the day I take all of them to the trash can. Oh yah, she goes like 3-4 times a day...

When they started getting really stinky, I started dumping the poop in the toilet before I put the diaper in the diaper genie.

We use the Arm & Hammer Munchkin one. We love it! No smell but you do have to buy the bags.

This doesn't solve the smell issue, but does save tons of money: go to Pinterest and see how to put a regular kitchen sized garbage bag in your Diaper Genie instead of their refill pack. I've been doing it for over a year now and have saved A TON of money.
