Spelling....

How would you pronounce this? Annebel <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

We would like it pronounced "Annie<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Bell"

We want to name our little one after and Aunt of mine... Anne.

I know the traditional spelling is Annabelle. I am wondering if it's too far off from that spelling.   ??

Thanks for any input!

Re: Spelling....

  • Not sure why it has all that weird spaces?

  • I would assume it would be Annabelle (or Annabel).  Honestly though, use the traditional spelling; it's still honoring your Aunt.  Save yourself and your daughter the frustration of always having to correct people on pronunciation and spelling.

  • At first glance, I didn't even realize it wasn't Annabel.

As far as I know "Annie + Belle" isn't an actual name. If you want this combination, you could give her a double first name, or make Belle the MN and call her by her first/middle. Annie Belle.
