We all hang out on TTC after 35, but we all know that once you hit your fabulous 40's and are TTC it is just different. If you are completely new to the TTC after 35 board and haven't done a formal intro please do that before posting here!

- Hashimoto's (under control), DH: 38 - (minor issues)
IUIs: 2 in 2012 ... Both BFN
IVF #1: 10/16/13 ... BFP, however it was not viable and ended in an early loss at 7weeks.
IVF #2: Feb '14 ... Cancelled. Positive beta at baseline appt, became very early loss.
IVF #2: Apr '14 ... Retrieval Only. 2 embryos made it to day 3 freeze & will be batched with IVF #3 for PGD testing.
IVF #3: June '14 ... Retrieval Only. 4 embryos growing, all arrested before day 5. Two from April thawed, but also arrested.
Currently benched while determining how to proceed.

Waiting for 1st AF after my natural m/c at 7 weeks. Several weeks away at this point, though

Moved on to my first IVF cycle this past Oct. Will continue with 2nd IVF as soon as we can.

I have a "friend" on FB that constantly complains about her two kids. Does she not know that there are millions of couples who are desperate to be dealing with what she does? I would love to say something, but in such a public forum I am not ready to bring that topic up. Please, just let her STFU! If not, she will soon be defriened or blocked.

Currently in my first Clomid cycle, took my third of 5 pills this morning

My ever-present irk is my coworker and friend, she is a year older than me and due to have her fifth baby (third in three years) in January. She's fertility incarnate and annoyingly clueless about her insensitivity to our issues. She means well but is really brash and outspoken and doesn't realize how hurtful she can be. It took me almost two months after my loss to get my period again, I was commiserating to her about it and all she could do was complain that her and her hubby had been TTC since December and not pregnant yet (this was in March, so only 4 months of TTC for her) - it never took her more than a month or two to get pregnant before. Then she invited me for supper last May, disappeared to the bathroom in the middle of making dinner, and came out with a freshly used peestick to show me she was pregnant - literally dropped it on the table in front of me, telling me before she even told her own husband. She keeps emailing me 'inspirational' quotes and telling me she's praying so hard for us to get our baby, we just need to relax and let it happen and it will. Ugh!!

2. How long have you been TTC? I had a miscarriage in August; had been actively TTC on and off for 8 months before that. Now, NTNP as we have a lot going on with my son.
3. Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc) I am on CD6, I believe.
4. What type of TTC are you doing? (IVF, IUI, Natural... etc) Natural. If we decide that we really want another, my husband's insurance now fully covers IUIs (procedure and meds). I don't think we'd go the IVF route, but we'd have to wait until next summer, as I'd need to go back on my own insurance for it to be covered (the procedure is covered up to 3 times, I think, but meds are not covered).
5. Weekly Vent - Go ahead, vent on one thing that is really irking you this week, promise you will feel better after. This week, like every week, I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom. I feel like I'd be so much more on top of things for my son. Don't get me wrong, we have a good schedule and my mother-in-law is an excellent caregiver and works with him constantly with his therapies. I just wish it was me who was there.

Not really doing anything to get pregnant, but I'm trying to handle stress better and do more for myself. I just chopped off a foot of my hair yesterday and although it was a shock at first, I feel so much better. My sister and niece told me that I look 10 years younger. If only I felt that way too!

4. What type of TTC are you doing? (IVF, IUI, Natural... etc) natural, with RE once insurance kicks in.

5. Weekly Vent - Go ahead, vent on one thing that is really irking you this week, promise you will feel better after. I'm really bothered by the doc I had for the retrieval and transfer. I am a veteran at this hospital, and I cannot believe someone so callous and cold is in charge of IVF. She rushed me through reviewing embryo quality, and acted like I was annoying for wanting to take time to review it! I've done this before, and they always have given me a photo after the transfer but this time they didn't and when I asked she blew me off and the nurse whispered that she doesn't allow that and how cold she was. Ugh!

Just found out our close friends are having their 4th child. My husband kept it from me cause he knows how hard it is for me to see everyone around us getting pregnant. So hard to hear considering we are just trying to have our first and everyone else is on their 3rd or 4th.

Trying to be consistent taking prenatals..getting enough sleep and eating right.

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

I'm so pleased with the turn out we've gotten. Feels so good to see that there are so many of us out there.

I understand the sentiment but when I read this I thouht "crap there are too many of us!" not the TTC but the 3TC! I wish we all get our bundles of joy!

Me: 42, Hubby: 35, TTC since Jan 2010. Dx: DOR due to advanced maternal age. Also: Hypothyroidism (100mcg Levothyroxin). Positive for MTHFR (hetero-C677T), Factor V Leiden, and Fragile X (on DH side). Taking pre-natal vitamins.
First natural PG 9/27/11; mc: 1/20/12
First RE visit: 8/8/12, Saline Sonogram: 8/28/12, IVF injection class: 10/11/12, add FaBB Tab for FVL, +Vitamin D.
IVF #1: 10/17/12 Baseline: FSH- 9.4, E2- 24, LH- 3.7, Prog- 0.3 The u/s showed 6 follicles in my right & 9 in my left. Rx: 150 Bravelle & 150 Menopur SQ nightly. 10/21/12: Add Ganirelix SQ every morning.
ER 10/28/12: 13 Retreived. 7 Mature. 6 Fertilized. 5 Made it to PGS. ET 11/2/12: CANCELED. All 5 came back from PGS as having "severe abnormalities."
IVF #2: 1/7/13 Baseline: FSH- 8.8, 4 follicles in my right & 6 in my left. Rx: 150 Bravelle & 150 Menopur SQ nightly. 1/11/13: Add Ganirelix SQ every morning. hCG Trigger 1/16/13

IVF #4: (Added acupuncture to this cycle.) 3/25/13 WTF & Baseline: FSH-11.8, E2- 56, Prog- 0.84 3/26/13 Start stims. 3/30/13 u/s: 5 follicles in my right & 4 in my left. Rx: 225 Bravelle& 225 Menopur SQ in PM. 3/31/13 Add Ganirelix SQ in AM.hCG Trigger 4/3/13 SQ.
ER 4/5/13: 5R, 3M, 3F naturally. Day 3: two 8 cell, grade 0, one 8 cell, grade 2 (Scale 0-best to 3-worst). Five day ET 4/10/13: two blastocysts (the 3rd stopped growing.) Beta 4/18/13: 2.5 BFFN. RE recommends we stop trying and focus on living childless, due to the extremely poor quality of my eggs.
***Decided to stop trying and live CFNBC. I couldn't adjust. So, six months later...
IVF #5: Changed RE. Going to one of the big name clinics now. OWDU: 10/29/13. Update: HORRIBLE experience. Disgusted and distraught at their complete unprofessionalism and how much money and precious time they cost us. Sickening. Have now changed RE again. New Patient appt. 1/30/14.
BFP! Out of nowhere, I got KU the old fashioned way! POAS 1/26/14 - Positive! FDLM 12/30/13. Beta #1 16dpo= 373. Beta #2 18dpo= 801. EDD 10/6/14
2/4/14 1st U/S revealed a 5wk2day sac but no fetal pole. Started 200mgs of progesterone suppositories daily
2/11/14 2nd U/S revealed a perfect 6wk1day "diamond ring" embryo with a beating heart! 138bpm! Add 1mg folic acid and 40mg Lovenox
2/25/14 3rd U/S: perfect 8w1d embryo, 178bpm. 3/6 start spotting. 3/11 10w1d U/S shows no heartbeat. Scheduling D&C. The Stork has forsaken me again.
IVF #5.2: New in-state RE. Supplement priming for 1.5 cycles prior to start of cycle, including DHEA 50mg (stopped 5/15), CoQ10 200mg 2x/day, L-Arginine- 1000mg 2x/day (stopped 6/5 due to cold sore!), myo-inositol- 2g 2x/day, melatonin- 3mg, and Neevo (prenatal for MTHFR).
5/16/14 Day 2 bw cycle prior: FSH- 12.22, E2- 38.37, Prog- 1.35, LH- 9.46. 6/2/14 Day 19 bw: Prog- 23
6/12/14 Baseline: E2- 122.7, Prog- 0.4. 5 follicles in left, 4 follicles in right. Start stims: 375IU Follistim & 150IU Menopur. 6/19 Increase Follistim to 425IU, Menopur still 150IU. 6/18 add Ganirelix. 6/23 Ovidrel trigger SQ. 6/25 ER: 8R, 8M, 5F naturally. Start Medrol & Doxy. 6/26 Start Endometrin. 7/2 Start Lovenox.
7/8/14 Beta= 137.4 BFP!!! (My first from IVF!) E2- 1109, Prog- >60. Stop CoQ10, myo-inositol, and melatonin. 7/9 2nd Beta= 281.4. TSH- 2.70. Increasing Synthroid to 100mcg daily. 7/24 6w3d u/s measured 6w3d, hb: 121bmp! 8/5 8w1d u/s measured 8w3d, hb: 164bpm! Graduated from RE to OB. Now I just need to find an OB!

3. Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc). Actually on BCP this month to keep my lining thin. Will have an operative hysteroscopy on 12/6 to remove scar tissue due to a D&C
4. What type of TTC are you doing? (IVF, IUI, Natural... etc) If all goes well and they remove the scar tissue, I will try IVF #4 asap. Jan? Feb?5. I hate that I've had 3 miscarriages. I'm angry and I'm frustrated. I'm not looking forward to the holidays. I spent Thanksgiving with two pregnant women. I know I sound miserable, and the truth is 95% of the time I keep it together. I understand I'm not alone and this board has helped me over the years. I'm so afraid of this hysteroscopy I'm having on 12/6 to remove scar tissue left over from my last d&c. I've had a open-mini-lap/myomectomy to remove fibroids, so I know it's not as bad as that, but I'm still so afraid. 2013 had been a horrible year for me. Devastating PGS results for IVF #1 and IVF #2 this year, as well as BPF IVF#3 that ended a miscarriage. I have spent so much money, and I have put so much of my life aside to take this on. I'm out of ideas. I guess exercising and eating right are always a good way to go.

How long TTC? Well...at this moment, I am recovering from a loss last week, but am cleared to start right after that.
Where in cycle? - just hoping it comes back quickly. It did after the last one.
What type of TTC? - Natural. I will probably use opk's again and I keep track on the calendar (the FF app).
Weekly vent-a few well-meaning friends at work reacted in shock when I returned to work Monday after the m/c-I had been quiet about being preg (and had done the same earlier this year, I had a loss in May) and they were like 'you got preg AGAIN?' Um yes I WAS TTC HELLO I WANT TO HAVE A BABY sheesh it was like they couldnt believe we'd do it on purpose. I get it-how many 42 year olds try this? Besides US here lol. But I NEVER make comment on someone getting, or not getting, pregnant, unsolicited.
Name that Action-well just getting rest and healing, physically and mentally, so I can move on to ttc.

5. I am a little frustrated that my body is not showing signs of pregnancy and I had 6 eggs released during recent IUI. I guess I have to except that it's my old eggs hindering our success.
