Got my Doppler in the mail yesterday and...

I found the heartbeat within 4 minutes. I was hesitant on getting one after the heart stopped beating on my last pregnancy in May. But this is so reassuring.

For anyone wanting a Doppler I recommend the sonoline b. Also make sure to watch YouTube tutorials on what all the noises are so you don't mistake your heartbeat for the baby's.

I tried it again last night for hours with no luck so don't freak out if you can't find it. I found it again this morning but it took me at least 10 minutes. I'm 12 weeks.

I have a sonoline b as well and it brill, I'm 11 weeks and the heart beat ranges between 160-180 it was funny last night I had to chase the little swimmer around :-)

I got mine yesterday too and had a hard time. I'm only 10 weeks and have a tilted uterus. I got a heartbeat for a few seconds a couple times but I think baby is really tucked back there.

I have been debating getting a doppler but have heard conflicting studies on both these and u/s (especially these) that excess exposure can lead to higher risk of autism in baby.  Any one else worry about this or know anything?

Dopplers send/receive ultrasonic waves similar to ultrasounds just lower intensity. That is why I wondered about the safety of using them frequently at home. Think I'll err on the side of caution but it would have been nice to be able to listen at home
