Now, now, ladies, no reason to be jealous of all the California girls. They only have sandy beaches, sunshine every day ... movie stars ... Disneyland ... the best Mexican food ... nevermind. (
New England native here - I can't be the only one, right?! I was born and raised in the Boston area and moved back after stints down south for college and NYC for grad school. I'm always jealous of Cali girls for the amazing weather, especially with winter fast approaching. Although fall in New England is gorgeous!
@caz1221 Born and raised in the Boston area too. I'm on the northshore.

If it makes you feel better I am an hour and a half from the beach, it has been cloudy for the past couple days, and the movie stars and Disneyland are six hours away from me. You're right about the Mexican food though!

I know I only post here and there, but I couldn't resist responding! I'm in Nor Ca too, and it sounds like we are really close! This all applies to me too. I am actually enjoying the rain!
If a CA meet up does happen. I would go for the half way point of Santa Barbara over Fresno.
But while a weekend get together would take a lot of planning a Saturday or Sunday Nor CA meet up could be easy enough. I'd drive and hour or two for some fun bumpie mom and baby time.

@lindsey61811 - Nice! I grew up in Metro West and have lived in the city for the past 5.5 years. We'll probably move to a Metro West suburb in the next few years for the schools and to be close to my parents and DH's job.
Someone come visit me!! I live near this pretty castle
@v&g101808 Give us a few years! We're thinking of taking Tyler when he's around 4 or 5. It would be awesome for Ty and N to meet, especially since they're obviously destined to be bff's.

Meh Ive got beaches which are fresh water so a million times better I hate salt water. My brother in law is straight out of mexico and cooks for us so got that covered. While I wouldnt argue with the sunshine I can do without the drama of movie stars and Disney. And to boot they have nothing on my cost of living. I pay less than 500 a month for the home we own with a large backyard in a nice safe neighborhood with a park. Cali ladies cant shake a stick at that.
To each his own. I'm willing to pay our cost of living to stay living in SoCal. It's so worth it to me! I also live in a "nice safe neighborhood" so that's also not an issue. As far as Disney and Hollywood go...I wouldn't say there's drama. I live at least 2 hours say from both so that's not applicable to me at all.
