I am having a planned c-section in 6 days and the last two days I have been having contractions. They are stronger then the typical BH contractions I have been having and are very predictable but they only last a few hours and then stop. I have been given conflicting information on when to go in when you need a c-section (my LO is breech and this is a repeat c-section). One doc told me to still wait till they are 3-5min apart, another told me to come in when they are 5-7min apart. We are about a hour away from my hospital. I will always call my hospital and talk with the on-call doc if I start getting contractions again but I was curious, for those of you who did go into labor and needed the cs, how long did you wait before you went in?

For RCS my instructions say 5-7 min apart.

How intense were your contractions before you went in and how long did you wait. I was having them every 5-6min last night for about 1.5hrs, but the intensity just didn't seem to increase so I held off and sure enough they stopped. I just don't want to wait too long and I never went into natural labor before.

I think it depends on your particular case, my doctor doesn't want me to labour AT ALL and I'm to go in at the first sign of a contraction, but that is because I had complications with my last csection.

I gave it one hour of 5 minutes apart then my doctor said come in for the RCS.
