Talk to me about IF treatments that are not IVF & IUI

What are the treatment options outside of those 2?

Here's what I've done: 3 months clomid and 2 months clomid/IUI/trigger = BFN

My DS was a natural surprise SO...

My questions are these:

1.) are there any other treatment options other than the above mentioned?

2.) Should I even look into treatment cycles yet? I mean, the first time took 4 years, the second time took 5 months for an early loss with those 1.5 success under our belt would a doctor even touch us?

As far as I know we are MFI...

Thoughts? I have that consultation next week with the OB/ specialist and I'm trying to plan my questions.

But - I respect everyone's opinion on here and lets be honest - we're probably more researched than the darn doctors!

I don't know of anything outside of the "normal" western medicine route, so I'm no help  L-) But, with your history of IF before your DS was conceived, I would think a doctor would be willing to do initial tests, especially an SA for your hubs (lucky him!).

Sorry, miscommunication on my part. I was referring to western medicine. I guess I was just wondering if we could be canadites (sp?) for drugs and TI.

Maybe I'm just being inpatient ">

Yea, you *can* try to produce more eggs with drugs, and hope that gives the sperm a better shot at hitting an egg? But honestly- I'd definitely consider retesting at this point before you do anything. Considering you got pregnant in a very average time frame this time- it's possible you are no longer dealing with MFI, but if you get another S/A and you know that is still an issue, then at least you have a better idea on how to proceed with things.

A lot can change in 4 years.

I wondered the same thing Mrs Castillo...I really really hope you are right. And, I was blown away that we got pregnant when we did... My DH's SA was considered "sub fertile" and we were told "it would just take a long time" he' s been on herbs for MFI for 2 1/2 months now - curiosity in me is dying for an updated SA.

I hope you guys don't mind that I'm here. Last month could all just be a craps shot. I've always considered us "Infertile" ya know?

All I know is I want answers.

I hate to say this but life IS a crap shoot, every.single.time.  I would definitely request some more testing.  And of course it is fine you are here.  It is all just so hard. I know.
