I can't wait for LO to recognize me and reach out for me to hold him.. I've read they really start recognizing familiar faces around 4 months.. I'm assuming the reaching would follow after? When did your babies start really wanting to be held by mommy?

As you can tell, babies at this age are just now starting to show a little arm/hand control. C has just started to be able to reach for toys and grab them. So, I want to say 7-8 months. That is really just a guess though. I just know it will be a while yet.

My nephew is 7 months. He has reached a few times.

Way too early for this, but I understand. DD didn't start reaching to be held until 6 months. Don't worry, they'll be begging to be picked up before you know it.
