Frustrated Toddler?

So, my LO is 21 months, and recently she started pulling hair, pinching the crap out of my face, pinching and a little biting whenever she wants something and I repeatedly say no or try to redirect.  I know it is a moot point to try to keep saying no, hands off, don't pull hair, ouch.  She doesn't understand.  How can I make her understand, or what can I do to try to deflect this until I can explain why she shouldn't be doing it?  Does that make any sense?  lol Im sure this seems silly, but I have never really been around kids, so with my own, this is a whole new ballgame!  Any advice would be great!  Thanks!!

She probably understands a lot more than you realize. There was just a conversation on hitting, I'd give you basically the same advice on dealing with your LO as was given in that thread (well, other than hitting and biting back, because duh). Be firm, say "No, we don't hit/bite/pull hair. That hurts mommy." Teach her nice touches. If you're holding her when she does it, put her down. Try time outs if you like. There are a few ways to go about it, but the main theme is to be calm and firm.
