I haven't been on this board in a while... So I figured I would reintroduce myself. My name is Paula I have 20 month old twin boys and a 3 week old baby boy. So I am really 3 under 2. Me and my husband have been married for 2.5 years, I work very part time(12 or less hours a week).
Anyway, I am having a hard time with balancing everything. The twins have always been on a very tight schedule, and the baby eats pretty much every two hours all day which interferes with other activities. Our day is a balance between the twins schedule which looks like this:
8am: Wake up and eat breakfast.
8:30-11am: Free Time(they can do what ever they want, within reason)
11-11:30am: Lunch
11:30-2pm: Nap Time
2-2:30pm: Snack Time
2:30-3:30: 1 on 1 time(I separate the twins and let one play in their room and one gets my undivided attention for 30 mins each)
3:30-6pm: Play time(mostly in their room but sometimes outside)
6-6:30pm: Dinner
6:30-7pm: Bath time
7-7:30pm: Family Time
7:30-8pm: Clean up then bed time.
I really don't want to change their schedule to much because they have always had a schedule and their have only been minor changes to it their whole lives... But the baby wants to eat at: 8am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 7pm, 9pm, 11pm and then night feeding...
And I am having a hard time balancing the babies feeding routine ad the twins schedule...
Also, in any gaps I still have to clean up the house do dishes and laundry...
I know their are several discussions already on this board with about the same question and I plan on going back and reading them all just wanted to ask what would you do? I know I am going to have to change the twins schedule some but I don't want anything to really be dropped... just shifted and I am having a hard time with that. TIA for any advise given.
I would just give it some time. DS is 5.5 months and slowly he is starting to follow DD's schedule. Is it in the budget to get a mothers helper for a few hours a week so you can continue one on one time?
