Suggestions

I'm looking for some general information and suggestions. My DH and I are putting some thought into adopting in the future although its very uncertain at this point when and if this will happen. We have a bio DD who will be turning 3 in about a month, she was diagnosed with Autism in August. I'm wondering if this will effect our ability to adopt, her having SN. We have discussed that we would like to wait at least 2 more years before growing our family as we want to have a better handle on her needs, and a better picture of what our lives as a family would look like. We would be leaning towards domestic adoption, and aren't really concerned about having an infant. I would actually prefer over age 3. I'm fairly ignorant about it all but that's why I'm here asking TIA

My daughter was recently diagnosed with Autism while we were(are) in the middle of the process. Our licensing worker assured us that it should not affect our licensure at all. We would just need her doctor to clear her on the medical form. And we would likely be asked more about our supports and how we will be able to handle additional children give her special needs.
