I am 28 years old and I have a Balanced Chromosome Translocation. I have 2 healthy boys that are 5 and 2.5 and just gave birth to a baby girl angel at 20 weeks. I had an Amnio done at 16 weeks as I have with all of my pregnancies to find out if the baby had the translocation or not. Well we found out a week later that the baby had an Unbalanced Translocation which is never good. After a couple more ultrasounds and specialists we found out that she also gad a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome among other problems and she was not a candidate for surgery which means it's fatal. At our next ultrasound her heart had stopped and I was induced on Friday afternoon. This has been the most traumatic experience of our lives, but we are trying to stay positive and focus on our boys and all of our many blessings. We will always love and miss our baby girl, but we know she is in a better place and she will not ever have to suffer.
I am so sorry for your loss. (((Big hugs))) focusing on the ones you have at home does help, but it's like a bandaid that doesn't fix the wound. We are here for you whenever you need something. This board has brought me so much comfort, I hope it will do the same for you.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your little girl. Having older children is both a blessing and a burden - they get you out of bed every morning, but it also makes it harder to grieve since they still need you to be you. Thinking of you and your family, praying for comfort and peace.

Welcome and I'm so sorry. I just joined this group myself as we found out our little boy had no heartbeat at 20 weeks last week at our anatomy scan and I was induced on Friday as well. These ladies have been wonderful. It's so sad that a group like this has to exist but I'm so thankful that they do and I hope we can help you through.
