Monitor suggestions for twins?

I was registered for the Angelcare movement monitor and the additional movement monitor that connects with it for 2 babies, however it is being discontinued and babies r us, walmart, and several other places have stopped carrying it.

Anyone have any ideas for a movement monitor (hopefully with audio/video) for twins?  What monitors does everyone have and do you like them?

Re: Monitor suggestions for twins?

  • I have the Motorola posted above but it doesn't have the sensors like the AngelCare to track babies' breathing/movements. Is that what you mean by movement?

I've been using the Motorola for 10 months now and I love that you can use the handheld part to control the camera in the room. My little girl rolls and crawls all over the crib so I can follow her wherever she is. I also like that it scans back and forth between cameras/cribs, you can talk to your child through the monitor part, it plays music, and it has a very clear picture. However it did freeze on me twice and I wasn't very happy about that. The first time I returned it and got a new one and the second time I was able to just pull out the battery and restart it. I'd still recommend it, I'm sure no monitor is perfect.

  • We just have a regular sound monitor/no picture.. nothing special for two babies.. if we feel like we need another we'll get another. I figure the base will be in the nursery, if I hear someone crying, I'll go check it out. I don't think a special monitor would change what I'm doing. I could be missing something though..?

  • In the beginning will just use a sound monitor, the same one we had for DD (If I can find the damn thing). Once the girls move into the nursery we're planning to get the Motorola double camera monitor.
