Re: fused labia??

  • I don't have personal experience, but a co-worker's DD had it and was given a topical hormone cream to use.  It's been years ago though.

  • Thanks. I am hoping there is no issue other than this and just needs cream. That would be great.

  • dd has had this since 2 months. they might give you a estrogen cream, but it is suppose to resolve on its own by puberty. For many girls it will go away around 2. My dd still has it, but so far no problems. you just need to make sure she is still able to urinate. it can increase the chances of uti but we have not had that problem. FWIW, we treated dd initially, but it fused up again right away. I an going to ask again at her 3 year appointment, but as long as it is not causing her problems I am going to leave it alone.

  • DD had a labial adhesion at around 5 months old. We used the cream for a couple weeks and it cleared up and haven't had a problem since.

  • I hope everything works out with your DD,  but I just want to say I read the thread title as "confused labia".
