Thank you so much for thinking of me We came home yesterday afternoon. The delivery itself was as smooth as something like that could be, I guess. Very little pain and he was delivered at 6:53am. They won't know for sure until the autopsy is complete but my OB told us that the baby's umbilical cord had a very narrow section and a very fat section, so she thinks that may have significantly reduced his blood flow and caused his death. It's called a cord accident and is basically a fluke. As much as I don't understand why something like this would happen to us, having a reason brings me some sanity. Had some fantastic pain meds and ambien to help me get a full 10 hours sleep last night which hasn't happened in quite a while. Just taking it hour by hour and minute by minute at this point.
