I never did an intro for this page, so here goes...I am Rachel and am 9wks with my first..I have two step daughters who are 6 and 7 and who I am very close with. I coach for them, do room mom, etc. I hope everyone's pregnancy is going well!!!!
Welcome. A lot of us are not pregnant, but have this our cyber home because we have nothing else better to do being part of a blended family, with or without your own biokids can be difficult to navigate sometimes.
My SD is 7, also. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Congratulations and welcome! Like ambrvan said, most of us aren't pregnant (I have a 5yo DS with BD and an 11mo DD with DH) but we use this board as support in dealing with our own BFs.
How often do you & DH have SDs? What do you coach for them? I look forward to hearing more from you .
Thank you everyone! I'm glad there is a board on here like this!!!
I coach cheerleading for the girlies. This fall was my second season. I'll also be helping with girl scouts this year too.
We have them one week on and one week off, and then I babysit for their mom 2-3 times a week, and they also get off the bus at our place. They aren't my bio children, but they are sincerely my heart. I'm looking forward to hearing your advice and stories along the way!!!!
Yes, it does sound like you guys must get along ok. That must be awesome.
We just signed my SD up for cheerleading last weekend. The only opportunity for cheer before middle school around here is for the church basketball league, but I've heard its actually a pretty good preparatory league. She is super excited. Has been wanting to do this side she was 2. I'm definitely NOT the cheer type, so maybe you can share some of your enthusiasm with me? Lol
I never cheered before this lol. I just say get psyched for them. It goes such a long way. I don't have the best relationship with BM but do what I can. I always want them to feel like they have a support system.
Lol. I cheered when I was 7 or 8, and HATED it! My coaches were actually professional cheerleaders for an NFL team, and they pushed us way to hard for our age. Granted those of us that would go on to make cheer their lives flourished, but those like me who were just giving it a try, we're miserable. For example, they put tooth picks behind our knees when we were in extensions to keep us from bending our knees.
I was a soccer player until high school when I gave it up to focus on competitive choir and singing.
SD is currently really into trying all kind of sports. I love that. A different one every season.
Welcome! Sounds like you/DH and BM have a great co-parenting relationship going, congrats on that! And I love your siggy, Charlie Hunnam.....yes please
