Finally gave in

I put LO to sleep overnight in her swing. I fought myself over it and decided I needed more sleep so I gave in. We have all slept for 5 solid hours. It feels so good.

You do what you need to do to survive and function.  You're no help to your LO if you are totally sleep deprived and stressed.

My first would ONLY sleep in her swing. Don't worry about it! Do what you need to do! The motion is just very comforting for some babies.

Our LO will go to sleep the first part of the night in her pnp but now I can only get her back to sleep in her swing. Those extra 3 hours are glorious! I keep trying elsewhere but give in eventually for the extra sleep. Good for you!

Hey, whatever makes the baby happy and however she'll sleep that's what you should do!

Are these swings ones that lay flat ? Mine is slightly reclined and my 2 wk old sleeps in it during day while I monitor. I would love to use at night but thought they needed to be almost flat.

We use our swing (FP Snugabunny) for second sleep a lot-when she won't go back to sleep in her crib. It's no lt ideal for full overnight sleeping, but if it here the only thing DD slept in, you can bet it would be in our bedroom andthat's where she'd sleep.
