a little heart broken and unsure

My daughter (17mnths old) has been continuing to nurse 1-2xs a day until the last week because of a cold. My plan was to let her self wean but since she has been sick, she hasn't been able to.  I am wondering what to do once she can breathe through her mouth again!!

My DD self weaned after a cold at 13 months.  She didn't want to/couldn't really nurse for a few days and then really wasn't interested.  I was already pregnant with #2 and my supply wasn't great to begin with so we just left it there.  She really didn't seem to notice honestly.  I was sad.

My baby has been the opposite.  She has a cold and all she wants to do is nurse and not eat other foods.  It also has me worried

she tried this morning and ended up with snot everywhere!! so i think we will wait a couple more days...
