Deep covered baker recipes

Hi!
I had a bunch of people tell me that they love their Pampered Chef deep covered baker. I bought it a few months ago and was nervous about getting started since I can get dinner on the table quick w/o an issue. I figured I might be able to spend more time with LO rather than her playing with me while I cook. I just tried a recipe last night and it came out really good.  Most of the recipes called for pre-cooked chicken, boiling pasts separately, or have 30min plus cooking time. I figured I must not be understanding something or missing the big picture since I heard people put their chicken in frozen & have dinner on the table in no time. How do you use your baker? What recipes do you use? is it easier/faster to boil pasta and add it at the end?

  • I have one too. Honestly, I haven't found it to be much of a timesaver at all. If anyone else has had luck, please chime in! I made a chicken in the microwave and it was just not good at all. So now I basically just use it as another casserole dish. On the good side, I got the cranberry one, so it's at least pretty for fall!

  • My sister uses her's to cook frozen chicken breasts. Then mixes in rice she cooks the night before, microwaves steamed veggies then mixes it together. Adds some sauce at the end. She claims the it takes good. I did the pad thai recipe using red curry & sauce from my local market. It came out good but i think if the chicken was being eaten separately it wouldn't taste the same. It got kind of over cooked once the pasta went into the dish. Maybe I will take it out next time while the pasta cooks.
I guess no one has the miracle solution either for it either!
