Had my son at 32 weeks. He's now 6 weeks old. Dr diagnosed him with reflux today. I have to give him rice cereal in his milk and Zantac twice a day. He was taking 4 oz now he's only taking 3. Could this be bc the rice cereal fills him up faster??
This happened to my dd too! We started Zantac and rice cereal in formula and she's taking less than she was before. I can only attribute it to the cereal...or she was going through a growth spurt maybe?
I hope you have better luck than we did with the rice cereal. It didn't really make much difference for his reflux but it made him work a lot harder to eat and super constipated. He was getting a glycerine suppository every few days in the NICU. Also our LO wasn't eating as much because he would fall asleep trying. Just keep it in mind. Hopefully it works great for your LO.

@lacijacques We have trouble with LO struggling to poop too and the cereal made it worse. Pedi suggested a splash of prune juice in a her bottles (I only do one or two of them per day) and the extra fiber has helped her regularity. Better than the suppositories Poor little ones!
Oh yay!!! Glad to hear its better. It's hard to see them so uncomfortable. Anyone who's ever been constipated knows it's no fun. Keep up the good work Mommy!
